- slept in
- drove to Harrisburg - took forever because the powers don’t find it necessary to finish building frickin 485 and there was yet another wreck on Harris
- dropped off my Whiskey River Grand Opening tix for Tate & Allison
- headed up 85 to DC
- nice day opted for 29 over 95
- made good time. no speeding tix eventhough there were troopers every 10 miles
- took 66 in to 495
- hit Beltway at 5:30 and hit breaks
- continuously shifted weight on break for next 82 min.
- finally reached Old Georgetown Rd exit
- met up with Soozy, who had been waiting for me since 6pm, to grab drinks in Bethesda
- aborted mission after 1 beer as it was clear no patio tables would ever be free.
- headed up to Gaithersburg for wine, pizza and Battlestar Galactica
- lights out
- slept in a little
- grabbed coffee and talked gardening with Soozy
- trucked over to College Park to wander and reminisce with Melissa
- walked around an empty Comcast Center and checked out the trophies
- visited the Book Exchange and found a sweet touk - looks like an old leather helmut
- lunched at Bentley’s - first time i ordered a beer there and wasn’t carded
- back the Gaitherburg - another wreck on the highway
- running late, had to hurry to get ready for the surprise party
- Reid nominates me DD - Woo Hoo! more driving!
- shoot down to Potomac for Marisa’s 30th
- great house, great food, great wine, AMAZING hostess
- Marisa was super late - to be expected, Chris was driving
- Her uncle and brother had already blown the surprise, but at least some of the faces she saw were a surprise
- ate, drank, toasted, talked Adult Swim
- boarded a bus for the DC Improv
- after a very long ride - made it in just in time for the 2nd Judah Freidlander show
- service was slow, comics were funny, Soozy got us all in trouble with Freidlander - called us all retards, which is not far from the truth
- very long ride back to Potomac
- Soozy lost her purse while going to the bathroom
- long drive back to Gaithersburg
- SLEEP
- up early early early
- drive to Sterling in the POURING rain to me Justin for coffee at 8:30am - what was i thinking!?
- after we got ourselves into the same Sterling Wegmans (who knew there were so many) had to great catch-up in the MarketCafe
- did some Weggies shoppin’
- discovered i had parked on top of a drain and lost my bottom 5 inches to the river running down it
- hit the road
- headed out 66 to 81 to try and get past the storm - worked
- was able to get the Mexico race on the radio and as soon as i got into it lost the signal
- rolled on down through the gap and got home in good time
- awesome trip - as always
